In addition to socio-cultural changes, technological innovations in materials or production are the main drivers behind design development. This is also the case for Eva Marguerres and Marcel Besaus giant baskets, MOA. With a diameter of 130cm, they are extraordinarily large; they are very light, mega-elastic, but still basically indestructible. In light of such qualities, their actual use becomes almost of secondary importance (aside from the numerous possibilities of application). Important, however, remains the fascination of the newly invented product, which alone sets standards: standards not with regard to sculptural self-reference, but clearly towards completely innovative products.
